Google Chrome

Turn pop-ups on or off

1. On your computer, open Chrome.
2. At the top right, click More   Settings.
3. At the bottom, click Advanced.
4. Under "Privacy and security," click Site settings.
5. Click Pop-ups and redirects.
6. At the top, turn the setting to Allowed or Blocked.

Block or allow pop-ups from a specific site

Allow pop-ups from a specific site

1. On your computer, open Chrome.
2. Go to a page where pop-ups are blocked.
3. In the address bar, click Pop-up blocked .
4. Click the link for the pop-up you want to see.
5. To always see pop-ups for the site, select Always allow pop-ups and redirects from [site]  Done.

Block pop-ups from a specific site

1. On your computer, open Chrome.
2. At the top right, click More .
3. Click Settings.
4. At the bottom, click Advanced.
5. Under "Privacy and security," click Site settings.
6. Click Pop-ups and redirects.
7. Under "Allow," look for the site.
8. To the right of the site, click More   Block.

If the site isn't listed, next to "Block," click Add. Enter the site's web address, and then click Add. To capture all pop-ups across the site, use the pattern [*.]example.com.

Firefox

Disable the pop-up blocker

1. Click the Menu icon (three horizontal bars) > Preferences > Content.
2. Uncheck the Block pop-up windows box.
3. For an individual site, click on Exceptions and enter the URL of the website for which you want to allow pop-ups. Click Save Changes.

Enable the pop-up blocker

1. Click the Menu icon (three horizontal bars) > Preferences > Content.
2. Check the Block pop-up windows box.
3. For an individual site, click on Exceptions and enter the URL of the website for which you want to allow pop-ups. Click Save Changes.

If you permit pop-ups for a site but decide to block them later:

1. Go to Menu > Preferences > Content > Exceptions.
2. In the list of websites, select the URL you want to remove from the Exceptions list.
3. Click on Remove Site.
4. Click Save Changes.

Safari

Block or Allow All Websites by Default

1. Select “Safari” > “Preferences“, then select on “Websites” at the top of the window.
2. Select “Pop-up Windows” on the left side.
3. Use the “When visiting other websites” drop-down menu to one of the following:
   • Block and Notify
   • Block
   • Allow

Block or Allow Single Website

1. Visit the website you would like to block or allow.
2. Select “Safari” > “Preferences“.
3. Select on “Websites” at the top of the window.
4. Select “Pop-up Windows” on the left side.
5. The website should be listed where you can select a setting in the drop-down menu.
   • Block and Notify
   • Block
   • Allow

When Safari is set to “Block and Notify”, you can allow pop-up windows right after they have been blocked by selecting the two boxes in the address bar.
