How do I access my program's Commons site?

As of September 2021, VCFA migrated away from the Google Sites platform and adopted WordPress as its primary Commons hosting site service. The process is ongoing as we transfer all programs and subsequent materials to the new platform, but you will be able to access the majority of your program resources via the new WordPress sites.

Our WordPress sites are closed off from any user trying to access the sites outside of our VCFA gmail domain (e.g, your VCFA.edu email address).

When you are added to a program's commons site, you will receive an email from WordPress (NOT VCFA) with the subject '[YOUR PROGRAM Commons] Login Details.' The email will contain your first-time user login credentials, as well as a link to set your password. (If you know you've been added to a site, but do not see the email in your VCFA.edu inbox, check your spam folder.)

Follow the link in the email to reset your password to activate your user profile on your program's commons site. You can reset this password anytime using the 'Lost password?' link that appears on the Common's login page.

Your account on the site is now live and active. Any time you wish to access the Commons site in the future, you will be able to use the blue Google Login button that appears on the login page to use your VCFA.edu credentials and access the site. (NOTE: using the Google Login option to log in, in place of manually entering your username and password, is ***highly encouraged.***However, in order to use this option, you will need to be logged into your VCFA.edu email (via Gmail) in the browser you are using to access the site. You will then be able to select your gmail profile/credentials to use to access the Commons.)

For any issues related to logging into your commons site, you can reach out to mary@vcfa.edu directly.
